This article walks through the standard MarketSharp setup in HeavySet Tech. This configuration works for most MarketSharp users and covers connecting the CRM, verifying the integration, configuring preferences, and setting appointment availability.
1. Connect MarketSharp in HeavySet Tech
In HeavySet Tech, go to:
Connections → CRM → Edit Config
In the CRM configuration page:
- Change the existing CRM Type to MarketSharp using the dropdown selector.
- To the right of CRM Connection Settings, click Edit.
This opens the MarketSharp Settings modal.
2. Create the HeavySet Integration in MarketSharp
In MarketSharp:
- Click the dropdown menu in the top-right corner.
- Select Admin.
- Click Integrations Maintenance.
- Click Add New Integration.
- In the Third Party Integrations dropdown, select HeavySet.
- Click Save Integration.
3. Copy the MarketSharp API Credentials
In MarketSharp:
- Click the dropdown menu in the top-right corner.
- Select Admin.
- Click API Maintenance.
- Copy the API User Key and Secret Key.
Return to HeavySet Tech and paste both values into the MarketSharp Settings modal.
Next:
- Select the appropriate Company ID in the MarketSharp Settings modal.
- Click Okay.
- Click Save in HeavySet Tech.
4. Select the MarketSharp Employee ID
After saving the API credentials, open the MarketSharp Settings modal again by clicking Edit.
You should now see a list of staff under Employee ID.
Select a user who has full access to MarketSharp capabilities.
5. Add the MarketSharp Source/Form ID
In the MarketSharp Settings modal, scroll down and find the Source/Form ID field.
Now return to MarketSharp:
- Go to
https://marketsharpm.com/. - Click the dropdown menu in the top-right corner.
- Select Admin.
- Click Custom Lead Capture.
On the Custom Lead Capture page, choose a lead capture form. You can either use an existing lead capture form or create a new one by clicking Add Lead Capture.
Once you have selected the lead capture form:
- Click Get Lead Capture Details.
- A modal will appear.
- Copy the ID value that appears after
MSM_formId.
Return to HeavySet Tech:
- Paste the copied value into the Source/Form ID field.
- Click Okay.
- Click Save.
6. Verify the MarketSharp Connection
In HeavySet Tech, click Verify.
Review the verification results. The setup is complete when:
- All items show STATUS Pass
- Contacts Found is greater than
0 - Appointments Found is greater than
0
After this step, the remaining setup and day-to-day data entry should be handled in HeavySet Tech.
Configuring MarketSharp Preferences in HeavySet Tech
7. Open MarketSharp Preferences
In HeavySet Tech, go to:
CRM Settings → MarketSharp → Preferences
8. Configure Staff & Scheduling
In the Staff & Scheduling section:
- Select an employee under Default Sales Rep.
This employee is responsible for confirming newly received appointments and assigning those new appointments to a sales rep.
Next, turn on:
Use Calendar for Slot Availability
This is the most common way MarketSharp users track appointment availability.
Then go to Calendar Slot Employees.
Select:
- The same employee you selected under Default Sales Rep
- Any sales reps who can be assigned appointments and whose availability is managed in the MarketSharp calendar
9. Configure Lead & Inquiry Behavior
Go to the Lead & Inquiry Behavior section.
Turn on the following settings:
- Include Inquiries in SMS Automations
- Save Notes with Appointment
- Skip Date Issued
10. Configure Webhooks & Notifications
Go to the Webhooks & Notifications section.
Under Notify Email(s) for New Appointments, add the email addresses of any employees who should be notified when new appointments are created.
After updating these settings, scroll down and click Submit.
Setting Up Appointment Scheduling
11. Open the Schedule Settings Page
In HeavySet Tech, go to:
CRM Settings → Schedules → Schedule

12. Configure Appointment Rules
On the Schedule settings page, update the following fields:
Min Hours Before Appointment
Set Min Hours Before Appointment to the amount of time your team needs to confirm an appointment before it begins.
Suggested value: 6–24
Max Days Before Appointment
Set Max Days Before Appointment to control how far out appointments can be scheduled.
Suggested value: 14
Limit Short-Notice Appointments
Check the box for:
Limit Short Notice Appointments to the Afternoon
This helps prevent short-notice appointments from being scheduled too early in the day.
Closed Days
If your call center is closed on weekends, check the appropriate boxes:
- Closed Saturday
- Closed Sunday
13. Add Available Appointment Slots
Click Add Schedule.

This opens the Edit Schedule modal.
In this modal, configure:
- Available days of the week
- Appointment slot times, such as
10 AM,2 PM, or6 PM - Count per slot
The count per slot controls how many appointments can be booked for that specific time.
Once the schedule is configured, click Save.
14. Test Appointment Availability
After saving the schedule, go to:
CRM Settings → Schedules → Availability
You can also open the page directly here:
https://admin.heavyset.tech/schedules/settings/availability
Use this page to test that your schedule configuration is returning the expected available appointment slots.
Setup Complete
The MarketSharp integration and appointment schedule are complete when:
- The CRM verification shows STATUS Pass
- Contacts and appointments are found during verification
- MarketSharp Preferences have been submitted
- Schedule rules and available slots have been configured
- Availability has been tested successfully
From this point forward, appointment-related data entry and scheduling should be managed in HeavySet Tech.
