This setting applies exclusively to the ImproveIt 360 CRM integration.
Overview
The Restricted Sources setting prevents lead source creation for flagged source names when the prospect has active appointment history.
This is useful in cases where a lead source, such as one from GetTheReferral, could overwrite or fragment the original marketing attribution in Salesforce.
Where to Configure
ImproveIt 360 → Preferences → Restricted Sources (Optional)
Enter a comma-separated list of source names exactly as they appear in i360.
Example:
GTR, Get The ReferralMatching is case-insensitive. Leave the field blank to disable the restriction entirely.
How It Works
When any lead source creation is attempted in i360, the system checks whether the incoming source name matches any entry in the restricted list.
If it does, the system checks whether the prospect has an appointment that is either:
- upcoming, or
- occurred within the last 7 days.
If both conditions are met, the behavior depends on whether an existing eLead is already on file for the prospect.
| Situation | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Existing eLead found | No new eLead or lead source is created. The existing eLead is returned as-is. |
| No existing eLead | A new eLead is created, but the source is overridden with the prospect’s most recent existing lead source name. This causes i360 to auto-create the lead source under the correct attribution. |
If the prospect has no appointment within the window, the restriction does not apply and the lead source is created normally.
What Flows Are Covered
The restriction applies to all three i360 lead source creation paths:
- Appointment creation — when a new appointment clones or assigns a lead source
- Email form submission — when an email lead triggers a force-add eLead
- New eLead creation — when a new eLead is created for an existing prospect
Example
You have GTR in the restricted list.
A referral lead comes in via GTR for a prospect who booked an appointment 3 days ago. Rather than stamping a new GTR lead source over the existing attribution, the system finds the prospect’s current lead source, such as Radio - Spring Campaign, and uses that as the source for any new eLead.
