Overview
The Schedule modal includes a Date Restrictions section with two modes for controlling which dates a schedule accepts appointments. This article covers the Available Date Range mode.
Where to Manage Schedules
Schedules can be added or updated from:
CRM Settings → Schedules → Schedule
Or directly here:
https://admin.heavyset.tech/schedules/settings/schedule-override
Modes
The Date Restrictions section includes a radio toggle with two options:
| Mode | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Block Specific Dates | Manually add individual date ranges that will not have availability. |
| Available Date Range | Define a single window during which the schedule is available. Dates outside that window are automatically blocked. |
Note:
Selecting a mode hides the controls for the other mode. Switching modes clears any data entered in the previous mode.
Using Available Date Range
- Open the Schedule modal (new or edit).
- Under Date Restrictions, select Available Date Range.
- Use the date picker to select a start and end date:
- Click the same date twice to set a single-day window.
- Click two different dates to set a multi-day window.
- The selected window is displayed with a green highlight labeled “Available.”
- Save the schedule as normal.
Clearing the Date Range
To clear the selected range:
- Click the red delete button next to the green date display.
This resets the picker to an empty state while keeping the mode set to Available Date Range.
How It Works
When you set an Available Date Range, the schedule will only allow appointments within the selected dates.
- Dates before the start date are unavailable
- Dates after the end date are unavailable
You don’t need to manually block any dates outside the range — this happens automatically.
Example
Available range: 03/26/2026 – 03/26/2026
| Block | Start | End |
|---|---|---|
| Before | 03/26/2016 | 03/25/2026 |
| After | 03/27/2026 | 03/26/2036 |
